Fox Run Golf Club is located approximately twelve miles southwest of St. Louis, Missouri. This elite, six year old golf course is one of the nation's finest -- good enough to compete for the privilege of someday hosting the U. S. Open.

Fox Run's 17,000 square foot clubhouse is also among our country's best.  This building houses two spacious fine dining areas (totaling over 7,000 square feet), a large pro shop, and a five star restaurant, among other things.  The building is completely heated and cooled by 111 tons of Hydro-Temp earth coupled heat pumps.  Each heat and air unit offers three stages of heating and cooling by utilizing two dissimilar sized compressors on the same refrigerant circuit to provide total load matching for the building.

This unique system, built exclusively by Hydro-Temp, has the ability to increase or decrease its heating/cooling capacity to match the needs of the building.  This creates many advantages, among the most important of which is increased dehumidification.  This is accomplished by allowing the unit to run for a long period of time in the cooling mode, utilizing a small compressor along with matching blower speed and oversized heat exchangers (sometimes oversized as much as 500%).

During the winter, the Hydro-Temp units have the option of heating the building by forced air or by providing hot water for the building's in-floor radiant heat.  The Hydro-Temp's patented priority water heating system provides most of the building's domestic hot water for the kitchen, showers, etc., at no cost during the summer months.  This unique option takes the free, unwanted heat removed from the building during the summer months and places it in the building's hot water tanks.  During the winter, this same option heats the building's water for a fraction of the cost of conventional water heating.

Fox Run is just one of many large scale, design-built jobs that prove just how efficient and convenient a Hydro-Temp geothermal system can be in commercial, as well as residential, applications.
